Yep, the services of a sketchy clown is the topic of just one of the many sketches being performed in December at the VFS Writing Department’s Sketch Comedy Night. There are two shows – the Freaks (the team I’m part of) are up December 3rd, and the Geeks follow that show on December 6th. Both start at 8pm, and cost $5 at the door. So come on out to the VFS Cafe at 392 W. Hastings. Booze is served so you’ve gotta be over 19.
After a week and a half of rehearsal, Superman: The Musical opens tonight… sort of. Tonight (Wednesday, Nov 14) is Preview Night, so tickets are discounted in case we’re not very good. (but we will be, I promise!) Tomorrow is officially opening night, and the play runs til Sunday at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby. Tickets are $15 tonight, $20 for tomorrow & Friday, and $25 if you come on Saturday, as we should be fantastic by that point! Get them by calling the box office at 604.205.3000.
