Forklift Blackbelt

Well it seems I now know more about forklift safety than I ever thought I would. This past Sunday I spent eight hours freezing in a warehouse full of Redbull, filming a series of different episodes for the ‘Forklift Blackbelt’ training series. The goal of these videos is to increase safety for forklift drivers and warehouse employees by making short, funny, watchable episodes that teach the basics of forklift safety a few minutes at a time. It was a great experience, especially when they brought out my own personal space heater (I had to be in a t-shirt when the rest of the crew was in winter coats and toques!).
I think the stunning orange safety vest looks pretty good, don’t you?

Mad for Plaid

If you’re a big fan of Mad Men then you’ll probably appreciate the webseries I recently participated in. It’s Mad Men… with sock puppets. I voiced Peggy, the sweet but smart second-in-command to Don Draper.

The first episode is up here and new episodes are being released every Sunday from now until the real Mad Men season premiere. (And when I say real, I just mean the non-sock-puppetted version, of course!)

Radio Isn’t Dead

Keep an ear out for a radio commercial I just did for the BC Government and Service Employees Union (BCGSEU). I’m not actually sure when it’s airing, or on what station, or, frankly, anything about it (why would they tell us that?!) but if you hear a girl who sounds an awful lot like me talking about going to the government liquor store, then it’s probably me!
